Philip Blumberg Biography
Philip Blumberg is an well recognized entrepreneur, investor and civic leader.
Philip Blumberg is the founder and Chief Executive Officer of Miami-based American Ventures group of companies including American Ventures Realty Investors, an institutional real estate investment organization ranked among the top real estate investment managers in the United States. American Ventures operates real estate investment funds for corporate pensions, foundations, banks and other institutional investors. In addition to equity funds, American Ventures operates a series of mezzanine debt funds targeting urban core projects nationally. Philip Blumberg is Chairman of the firm’s Investment Committee. Other American Ventures group affiliates include: American Ventures Realty Corporation, which provides commercial property management, leasing and brokerage services; and RealData Information Systems, which provides real estate market research, consulting and valuation services.
A native of Miami, Florida, Mr. Blumberg was greatly influenced by his father, who was a pioneering developer and community leader in the greater Miami area. Philip has built on that legacy, making significant contributions to the city’s economic and social progress, serving as Chairman of the Greater Miami Chamber of Commerce in 2000-2001. Mr. Blumberg received his M.B.A. from Harvard Business School and his undergraduate degree from the University of North Carolina – Chapel Hill with Honors in Business.
